In April 2022, a frail 86 year-old Jerry Lee Lewis, suffering from the debilitating effects of a stroke 3 years earlier, taped a Gospel album with his cousin Jimmy Lee Swaggart in Baton Rouge. It was his final recording. When he passed away a few months later, almost inevitably, the obituaries focused on his often controversial personal life.
